Quick cards.

 

Morning everyone, I have two cards that came together really quickly. I had a play around with some metallic paints I have, they look so pretty so made these backgrounds, the circular one is water colour paper, I bought the pack from Temu and its great quality.

Edged the circle with gold paste, sorry it hardly shows on the pics. The birthday die, also brushed with the gold paste,  is from Temu and the happy was a freebie years ago. I layered up on navy card first to make it pop.

Side view, yep, I like this one lol.

Next up same as different shape

Sadly I regret the position of the happy, I should have thought it out better, but hey-ho.

I think thats that again.

OK, so been playing around the last few days, ducking and diving when the sun shines, its been great for a change. 

I had some lovely papers i bought from the Papermill heaven knows how long since and found them when I was digging stuff out, as you do. So I have made a couple of note books, First up is this one, long story short, this was supposed to be the insert for the hardback I made, but I kind of liked as is, so stencilled it with some paste and added a band and done.

The cover is from a paper pad I bought from the Range last year I think, its fabulous paper so obviously when I realised what an idiot I was, no way was I wanting to cover it, so the hardback will just have to sit and wait abit longer, but here it is anyway.

Hard cover drying out, still it will come in handy for something, one day hahaha.

Next up was going to be a card but the book bug had me so here it is.

Its that Stamperia rice paper again, this was left over, I just mod podged it on, painted out the edges, did some paste stencilling again, I love this stencil, added a TH sentiment badge then layered onto navy card, but then decided to go with another note book.

Went all old school and sewed it all together, I really enjoyed myself, used some wax cord so its pretty tough.

There you go, this paper is just gorgeous, maybe to nice to write on...!!!!!

Afternoon everyone, what a beautiful day its been and because the sun was shining it warmed my room up so I had a play.

First up is this canvas, have a few of these stashed away, so bought some Stamperia rice paper and made this.

Just mod podged onto the canvas, tore up the paper slightly, did abit of stamping and done.

Next up two cards that should match but obviously don't, well its the size but thats ok, I thought they would make nice note cards really.

The paper has been in the drawer awhile and I really can't think where I bought it. I tore it into two strips, edged in gold gilding wax, added some clocks, metal cogs and metal thingy-bobs to place a word or two, who knows.

Love the gilding wax its gorgeous, abit expensive but I have had this ages and it really goes on and on, I have used it on so many things, its amazing stuff.

Craft wise thats it for today, sorry its been so long, fingers crossed I will be back on the ball soon.

Carla is much, much better, she is back to normal. Has had to make lots of changes for her health, although stress was a major factor, I think she has things under control. She has us all so very worried, but thank heavens she is doing great. Bless you all for remembering her in messages, it has meant so much.

 Just wanted to say a huge Thankyou to everyone who has asked how my daughter, Carla is doing. 

She is feeling much better now, the hospital and our family GP have been really good and helped her get through. 

That’s really all I can say at this point. I just felt I needed to let you all know.  

I shall get back to crafting as soon as I feel up to it, got so many ideas in my head and it’s driving me mad haha.

Desperate bid to create something....

 

Hello my lovely blogger friends, it feels like forever since I actually managed to get in the craft room and make something, anything, but things have been happening here and I just couldn't get in..!!!

Anyways, I went in the room today and found this image, half done before Christmas, so why not, as you can see for yourselves I just layered up onto some navy and then white cardstock.

I did some splashing as you can see and just wrote the sentiment on.

Inside just a couple of dies in the navy card.

Thats about it really, nothing wonderful but it got my head out of everything I have tried to cover up these last few weeks, but it was good to be in there.

Here's what's been happening....

Just after new year my daughter was rushed into hospital again, I was worried as last time it was Sepsis and this sounded very similar, anyways they had her on a drip and lots of morphine for a few days, she has been so ill, she got home and very unlike Carla, has done very little, she has to go back for further tests, her School have been amazing with her, but its awful isn't it. I can't go into details but she isn't out of the woods yet, fingers crossed and lots of talks with the main man upstairs, I will let you know how she goes on. Of course this all impacts everyone around her but so long as she is ok, I really don't care....I can cope with my own health problems but when it comes to our children, well, it never gets easier does it, no matter how old they get...sorry about all this, but I wanted to let you know why I am so amiss with my blog.

A quick look at my birthday cards.

 

It was a wonderful day, I can't thank you all for the cards and gifts I received, honestly I was so surprised with everything, it was lovely. Here is a photo of cards from friends

Lovely flowers too, one big surprise was from one of my grandsons who had flowers delivered to me, I was so shocked, its easy to forget they are grown up now, what a lovely day, I got lots of cash too, can't wait to go on shopping spree, haha.

So, thats another year done, thank you all so very much, I appreciate everything I really do.

I am off to grab some lunch, I had to see my Mia off to Uni again this morning, I will be so glad when she is done with it in the summer, but then my two eldest grandsons have to go off, life keeps moving on !!!!

When the postman handed this package to me I had no clue as to what it was, then I spotted the name and address of sender, all the way from NZ, my friend Chrissy sent me a birthday gift, she was surprised it actually arrived very early, ( rare for postal services isn't it ) I was gobsmacked totally, look at this work of art.

And this sweet card, don't worry Chrissy I lifted the wings off the pretty butterfly, she got smushed on her travels..Question, do you ever wonder if people do that to your handmade cards, I do, I mean most stuff gets flattened unless you box it up of course...Just wondering haha

I am so surprised and happy at the thought behind this, thanks so much my lovely friend, it means more than you can imagine.

I am leaving them on show until my birthday at least, my first card and gift...

Well thats it, and of course this is the first post of the year for me, I have been abit bogged down with no mojo at all to speak of, fingers crossed it will work out.
